Koslan is a running app. This page explains exactly what it collects, how, who it goes to, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, write to us at the support address at the bottom.
Most of Koslan works without sending anything anywhere.
| What | How it is collected | What it is used for |
|---|---|---|
| Location while a run is active | GPS, only during a run you started, including in the background if you allow it | To measure distance, pace, and to draw the route of your run |
| Step count and cadence | Motion and Fitness sensors, and Apple Health if you connect it | To show your steps and cadence |
| Body metrics you enter, or read from Apple Health | Typed by you in setup, or read from Health with your permission | To estimate calories and set pace targets |
| Your finished runs | Recorded by the app | To show your history, progress and personal bests |
| Subscription status | From Apple's purchase system, through RevenueCat | To unlock the features you paid for and to restore them on a new phone |
We do not collect your contacts, your photos, your microphone, your browsing, or any advertising identifier. Koslan does not track you across other apps or websites, and there is no advertising SDK in it.
The only data that leaves the app is your subscription status, and only RevenueCat and Apple see it. Google is listed here solely because it hosts these pages. Each is bound by contract to protect what it holds to the same standard we do, and none of them is permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Health and fitness data is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with anyone other than the processors above. It is not shared with data brokers.
If you connect Apple Health, Koslan reads your steps and body metrics and writes your completed workouts back, so your health record stays in one place. Health data read from Apple Health is not sent to our servers or to any third party, and it is never stored in iCloud by us. You can revoke this at any time in Settings, or in the Health app under Sources.
Turning any of these off is always as easy as turning it on, and none of them is required to use the app.
Settings has a Delete my data action. It removes your runs, your plan and your profile from this phone, and it cannot be undone. There is no copy anywhere else, so you do not have to write to us to have anything erased. Workouts that were already written into Apple Health stay in Apple Health, because that is your record and not ours; delete them in the Health app if you want them gone.
Koslan is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, we process your data on the basis of your consent (for location, motion and Health) and of legitimate interest (for keeping the app working and secure). You have the right to access, correct, export or erase your data. The in-app deletion action covers erasure; for anything else, write to us.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who receives it, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
Koslan is made by, and the data controller for everything in this policy is:
